Keynote topic: Future of Insulation in MEA’s Distribution System

Abstract

MEA has continuously improved quality of distribution to reduce SAIFI and SAIDI. One of solution is by selection of appropriate insulation. In addition, we also have policy is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, global warming, and decarbonization.  

Our principle is high quality, safety and environmentally friendly. Therefore, many new technology have been introduced  and implemented in our distribution network such as polymer insulation, less flammable oil and non-SF6 etc.. 

Biography

Somchai Homklinkaew graduated from Chulalongkorn university with bachelor degree in electrical engineering first class honoured and master degree of science at the Srindhorn international thai-german graduate school of engineering, King Mongkut’s university of technology north bangkok. He has been working at Metropolitan Electricity Authority over 37 years in power system planning.
